So, on Saturday, we attempted to get an elective 3d/4d ultrasound done. They say that the best time to get good face pictures is between 27 and 32 weeks, so we thought that 29 weeks would be perfect. He decided to keep his face buried in my placenta on our visit Saturday. Apparently, my placenta is anterior and towards the left. The lady wanted me to come back Tuesday(today) and see if he would change positions. He was a little bit out of the placenta, but he kept his hand on his face the whole time. It was like he was trying to hide his face on purpose. He must hate getting his picture taken just like his daddy lol. It was kind of cute seeing him chew on his little fingers, though. There were points during the session today that you could see him open/close his eyes and practicing breathing. That is amazing to me. It made the visits worth it even though we didn't really get any good face pictures.
My husband's family threw a baby shower for us on Thanksgiving, and his aunt gave us a crib and travel system(and a ton of clothes, etc). So, my husband put the crib together the next day. I can tell he's getting more excited and optimistic about the baby as we get closer to the due date. He's always grabbing my stomach and trying to talk to Elijah. I keep going between hopeful and overly anxious myself....
I'm just counting down. A little over 6 weeks until my cerclage removal and a little over 10 weeks until my due date...
